Our Mission
RisenCause exists to glorify God and to protect children and stand with survivors of abuse, including trafficking and exploitation, intrafamilial abuse, and every form of predation. We believe the church should be a true refuge, so we equip families and congregations to prevent abuse, to recognize warning signs, and to respond wisely when harm is disclosed. “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy” Psalm 82:3 to 4.
What we do right now
We create biblical resources that awaken and equip, Christian education videos, Bible studies, and daily devotionals. We are building a free Video Training Library that teaches digital safety, grooming and recruitment tactics, indicators at home, school, teams, and church, and step-by-step guidance for what to do if abuse is suspected or disclosed, even when the alleged offender is a family member. Every training sits beside clear Get Help Now links to child advocacy centers, domestic violence services, licensed counselors, and hotlines.
Where we are going
We are in a building season with a child-protection first approach. Our first priority is education and early intervention at scale. The library will grow into short courses parents can finish in one sitting, age-appropriate lessons for kids and teens, and a self-paced path for churches that explains policies, screening, room visibility, communication rules, transport rules, and incident reporting. We will teach plainly that reporting is always the right thing to do, even when the abuser is a relative, and we will show families how to report, how to preserve evidence, and how to stay safe after a report through lawful safety planning, trusted shelters, and coordinated care.
As support grows, we will deepen partnerships with child advocacy centers, law enforcement victim services, and licensed counselors, and we will build reserves for a Safe Haven. The Safe Haven will begin with confidential intake, safety planning, advocacy coordination, counseling through licensed partners, pastoral care, and practical help such as food, clothing, transportation, tutoring, and activities that place strong role models in front of the youth. When we are ready and properly licensed, we intend to provide short-term shelter in partnership with child advocacy centers, child protective services, domestic violence agencies, and law enforcement, so that children and survivors of domestic violence are protected, protective caregivers are supported, and our work remains fully compliant with the law. Over time the model will widen to serve related harms such as stalking, while staying Christ centered and survivor honoring.
We will never run stings or confront suspected offenders. We will not mediate abuse within families. This means we do not arrange meetings, joint counseling, or reconciliation sessions between a survivor and an alleged offender. We prioritize immediate safety, mandatory reporting, preservation of evidence, legal due process, confidentiality, and the dignity of survivors and non-offending caregivers.
As God provides and the community partners with us, we will refine this model and multiply it to additional communities. Growth will always be paired with transparency, outside counsel, survivor-informed feedback, and regular reviews of our policies and practices. The bigger we grow, the more Safe Havens we will be able to build with excellence, each one anchored in Scripture, prayer, and best practices.
Your engagement today makes this future possible. Watching and sharing the videos spreads prevention, purchases help fund new training modules and counseling support through licensed partners, and gifts build the reserves required for nonprofit formation, legal aid for survivors, therapy funding, relocation support, and the first Safe Haven.
Reporting Is Right
If you suspect abuse, report. If a child discloses, report. We will help people understand where to report, what to say, how to preserve evidence, and how to stay safe after reporting with the support of advocacy centers, shelters, licensed therapists, and trusted churches.
Our Current Status
RisenCause is currently an LLC that is building toward a nonprofit in order to expand services and partnerships. Purchases and gifts are not tax deductible at this time. We will update this page the moment that changes.
Partner Commitment
We are on the same team. Each month we will highlight organizations that share this mission to end child abuse, and we will give a set percentage of sales to them
